Artistry, Technology and our Evolution
Miles R. Cone, DMD, CDT, FACP and Peter Pizzi, CDT, MDT, F.N.G.S.
We are currently experiencing an exciting time where artistry, technology, products, and processes are shaping our dental profession. In today's rapidly evolving marketplace, the utilization of technology is crucial for our success. However, we must not overlook the importance of the artistic process, as its absence can disrupt the dental market. Our vision for the future of the dental health profession is to provide esthetic and functional restorative options that cater to the physical and financial needs of our patients.
A new wave of clinicians and technicians is emerging, fully aware of the necessity for updated education and training. They are pushing the boundaries of contemporary restorations by embracing minimally invasive protocols, traditional techniques, advanced digital technology, and hyper-real aesthetics. Their bold efforts aim to reignite the love affair with our ever-evolving profession.
This presentation will showcase how seamless communication and collaboration between the dentist's chair and the dental laboratory bench can be utilized to improve patient outcomes. The objectives of this presentation are:
- Combining artistry and technology;
- Case management and material selections;
- Understanding the when, where, and why of minimally invasive protocols;
- Recognizing the importance of photographic communication and perception.
